Development Trust

Having had a varied career including teaching engineers to use CAD CAM packages, Joan went to study at Warwick as a mature student, graduating in 1978 with a BA [Hons} English and American Literature.

Joan’s most recent post, before retiring, was with the University of Warwick which she began in 1987. Her first post was in student recruitment before moving to set up and manage the university’s Alumni Association, a post she held for ten years. After this she set up and managed Warwick’s Alumni fundraising programme, remaining as a fundraiser, raising money for student scholarships and academic departments of the university until retirement in 2007.

Joan lives in Coventry and is a mother of three and grandmother of 12. Her interests are gardening, bridge, travel and her grandchildren’s lives, their education and careers.
